Nanoweek 2022 & e-Infrastructure Speeddating

To mark the culmination of the NanoCommons project and its final conference, the whole nanosafety community came together in person and online for NanoWeek, which took place in Limassol, Cyprus, 20–24 June 2022. Led by the NanoCommons project and 18 other nanosafety projects, this fantastic event was one to be remembered!

The conference, titled “Evolution of nanosafety and materials sustainability as we transition into Horizon Europe”, encompassed the following topics:

  1. Safe-and-Sustainable-by-Design of (nano-enabled) products & processes

  2. New modelling methodologies and nanoinformatics approaches

  3. Data Management – Databases – FAIR data

  4. Nanomaterials go advanced – emerging challenges and foresight

  5. Emerging “hot” topics in nanosafety

Additionally, there was a speed dating session of the e-infrastructures of the NMBP-15 and -16 projects. In this jointly organised session, the visitors had the chance to meet the Sbd4Nano e-infrastructure in Cyprus through its chaperone Carlos Fito.  Our e-infrastructure serves for performance testing & implementation of Safe-By-Design approaches in the nanotechnology supply chain.
