SbD4Nano: A Deep Dive into the Project's Tools and e-Infrastructure through a Real Case Study

This is a free open event!

About

The purpose of this event is to diffuse the knowledge that we have generated regarding the implementation of Safe by Design (SbD) strategies within SbD4Nano project. SbD4Nano develops a novel software infrastructure to foster dialogue and collaboration between actors along the nanotechnology supply chain for a knowledge-driven definition of SbD approaches based on hazard, exposure, product performance and cost criteria.

In this webinar, the SbD4Nano e-Infrastructure will be presented using examples from real case studies. In particular, we will focus on an industrial case study developing photocatalytic, antibacterial, and self-cleaning coatings containing nanomaterials (i.e., sulfur-doped TiO2 NPs) and their critical issues. We will provide an overview of the SbD strategies, based on a surface engineering approach, tested in these materials as well as their impact on the material hazard, release, and functionality.

In addition, our goal is to engage stakeholders to co-create and be a part of our community, giving us insights and sharing knowledge. To achieve this we need your support!
