Ambrosialab

Ambrosialab is a research spinoff of the University of Ferrara, Italy, which holds 10% of the share capital. It is a research and development company operating in the life sciences and biotechnology sector, founded in 2003, on the initiative of Prof. Stefano Manfredini and Prof. Silvia Vertuani. After the university incubation phase it is now located at its own location near the University of Life, Health and Environment of the city of Ferrara. The location of the new headquarters, inaugurated in 2009, allows an effective exchange between the Research and Development activities conducted by its staff and the Basic Research activity conducted at the University, which acts as a flywheel of technological innovation.

Ambrosialab develops and produces prototypes of health products and drugs, in the sector of degenerative diseases, aging and health maintenance. The company starts from innovative, often unique and patented concepts, going from their design to the realisation of small pilot productions, necessary for the effectiveness and stability checks. Prototypes are then industrialised and marketed at partner companies.

Ambrosialab supports, through Scholarships and Research Grants, basic university research in the field of oxidative stress and related products. The strength of Ambrosialab lies in the network of industrial production partnerships, in Italy and abroad. Ambrosialab also deals with the quality and effectiveness verification phases, necessary for the production and commercial phase of products developed at its partner companies. Such networks, they have consolidated more and more over the years of activity. Its strategic location, in the university area but close to the motorway and railway connection network, are ideal for an effective technological exchange towards its institutional partners.
